The
history of Scent of Death begins in September
of 1998, when Jorge (ex-Suffer Age), and Carlos
(ex-Osmosis), decide to hire a local where
they improve their concept of Death Metal.
On December, same year, Bernardo and Nuno
(ex-Osmosis) joined to the band.
With Jorge and Bernardo on guitars, Carlos
on bass and Nuno on drums, Scent of Death
has born. In the beginning, conception of
the first themes and many hours of training
it's all. On summer, 1999, David joined
the band as vocalist. On March, 2000, Scent
of Death performs a live concert at Anoeta,
Vigo city with Regnum Irae. Three months
later, the band loss their vocalist because
of musical concept differences, what means
several inconveniences on future concerts.
The band began to record on September,
2001, at Taller de Música, Ourense,
Spain. As a result, they released their
first MCD, entitled "Entangled in Hate",
which was produced and edited by their own.
The MCD contains a total of 6 themes, 4
of brutal and fast Death Metal, in the vein
of Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Dying
Fetus,
and 2 pure instrumental, for
a total of 20 minutes of music. Vocals were
performed by Bernardo, assisted on high
vocals by Jorge.
From their recording, Scent Of Death have
moved and they continue moving their work
from all over the world, for countries as
disparate as Australia, Japan, USA, Europe,
Malaysia, South America, etc... sending
it to zines, labels, webzines, distributors,
and in general to all those that have requested
it. The answer of the press toward "Entangled
In Hate" has been excellent in the
entire world, and only in Spain Scent Of
Death has obtained high qualifications in
so prestigious fanzines as Bloody Zine,
Necromance Mag. (8), Xtreem Music (7,5),
Subliminal Zine (8), Bloodcifery Webzine
(8,2) and Era Del Metal (8,8).
At the end of November of the 2002, Scent
Of Death signs a new vocalist, Luis, coming
from a Black Metal band called Immacula
Mortem. With Luis on vocals, the band plays
live in December of the 2002 again, for
the first time in two years, together with
Hamlet, Avulsed, Myself and Trut 69 in La
Burbuja, Ourense, and with a view to future
concerts.
In February 2003 the band plays in the
Brutal As Hell Fest in the club Anoeta at
Vigo city with Imperious Malevolence from
Brasil, Human Mincer y Chamber Of Shred.
On April 25th Scent Of Death plays for the
first time out of Spain, in Portugal, in
the Steel Warriors Rebellion Fest VI, in
the city of Barroselas and opening for bands
as Enthroned (Belgium), Damnable (Poland),
Internal Suffering (Colombia), Sanatorium

Time IV on December 20th of 2003 in the
city of Guarda, Portugal, with bands as
Avulsed, Grog, Goldenpyre, Agonized, Theriomorphic,

In February 2004, Nuno leave Scent Of Death
and the band start on looking for a new
drummer. He was replaced by Alfred Berengena,
drummer of catalonian Brutal Death Metal
band Baalphegor, as a session drummer for
the new album.
In December 2002 Scent Of Death had accepted
the offer of Necromance Records for the
edition of their first full length CD, but
because of some monetary problems inside
Necromance, the record deal was broken in
November 2004. So the band signed with Bloody
Productions from Spain, in December 2004
for the new album.
In January 2005 the drum parts was recorded
at Tribal Art Music Studios, Girona, and
in March 2005 the band entered at GonSound
Studios, in Vigo, to record, produce and
master all the rest. The final result is
a full-length CD of brutal, fast and technical
Death Metal, which is called "Woven
in the book of hate", with a great
production and massive sound. It was released
in June 2005 through Bloody Productions.
At the present time, the band is preparing
some gigs to show their potential and the
new songs on the stage.
